FOR THE SEC - MARCH 15

We need additional parent assistance to hold the Solo and Ensemble Contest this Saturday, March 15.  The following positions are unfilled:
The SEC will be held at Grace Community Bible Church, 6N171 Gary Avenue, Roselle, IL (east side of Gary Avenue, about half-way between Lake Street/Route 20, and Schick Road, north of Stratford Square Mall.)

Check-in monitor – Checks-in students and provides directions. One person needed from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.
Door monitor – Assists students in lining-up before event and open/close door for each performance. Two people needed, from 12:00 to 2:15 PM.
Runner – Locates and ushers students to line-up at door. Makes sure judges and door monitors have what they need. Possibly sub for a door monitor so they can attend their own child’s performance. Two people needed one for each shift.
Clean-up - Reassemble facility as it was before contest. One more person needed @2:30-3:00 PM.

Becuase of the shortness of timeplease call or e-mail Helen Herbst ASAP using your directory

From Music Resources 3-03-08

Following are the lists of Winter Trimester sheet music for each band, including audio links where available. In some cases, the link may be to a clip, rather than the complete song, but at least you will get a taste of the music. It will greatly aid your personal progress and mastery if you play along with these links in your daily practice. Of course, it will probably take a while until you are able to play at the tempo of the recording. You will find just listening to the music frequently, apart from your practice time, will improve your ability to learn and play the song.
If the exact same arrangement of a song is not available, occasionally we may provide a link to a version different from the one we are using. In this case, while you will not be able to play along, you can listen to get a feel for the music
